Research conducted within a US Navy laboratory points to the powerful role of psychological conditions on civilian employee engagement levels. Specifically, psychological safety has a significant impact on employee engagement and vice-versa. Based on the research results, a pilot program for increasing employee engagement is underway and initial results are promising.
